In Polanco, one of the most cosmopolitan neighborhoods in Mexico City, a school project was developed on a 900 m² lot to house both elementary and middle school levels. The design complies with SEP regulations, prioritizing functionality while maintaining a strong sense of visual and aesthetic appeal.
The layout is organized around a central courtyard, with a composition of volumes and shadows that give the space a distinct architectural character. Throughout the different levels, social areas are integrated to enrich the school experience and encourage interaction between students and teachers.
The proposal for a Child Welfare and Development Center for the ISSSTE was developed with the aim of creating open and dynamic spaces inside. The project is located in the Tabacalera neighborhood of Mexico City, and the exterior facade has been adapted to the institutional language and the context of the area.
Our vision for this Child Care Center revolves around the well-being and comprehensive development of the attending children. We have designed a safe and stimulating environment that encourages learning and exploration. The interior spaces have been conceived to promote interaction, creativity, and play, providing a welcoming and enriching atmosphere.
Regarding the facade, we have worked in harmony with the ISSSTE's institutional identity and carefully considered the architectural context of the Tabacalera neighborhood. Our design seeks to integrate with the surrounding urban aesthetics, respecting the unique characteristics of the area and creating a welcoming and friendly presence for those visiting the Center
The proposal for the expansion of the preschool education institute was carried out on a plot previously occupied by a house built around the 1970s. The program for expansion and adaptation includes a civic plaza, 5 classrooms, an administrative area, and a nursing area, as well as the necessary complementary spaces for the institute's operation.
The incorporation of a civic plaza will provide an open and multifunctional space that fosters a sense of community and offers a meeting place for civic and social activities.
Regarding the classrooms, five welcoming and suitable spaces for preschool education were designed, taking into account the comfort and well-being of both students and teachers.
The administrative area was conceived to ensure efficient management of the institute, providing a functional and organized environment for the administrative staff.
Additionally, a space dedicated to nursing was created, recognizing the importance of offering a comfortable and private environment for mothers who need to breastfeed their babies.
The design also includes essential complementary spaces for the proper functioning of the institute, such as play areas, restrooms, and storage spaces.
In summary, our proposal for the expansion of the preschool education institute seeks to optimize the existing educational environment, providing a safe, inspiring, and functional setting for children and teaching staff. Our aim is to contribute to the growth and comprehensive development of students, promoting an enriching and rewarding educational experience
