In an area of 220m2, corporate offices were developed, including private offices, a reception area, a shared operational space, and a service area. The project was meticulously aligned with the client's requirements, resulting in a timeless and elegant design.
Located in Santa Fé, the bustling business district of Mexico City, the office space was carefully designed to maximize functionality and efficiency while maintaining a sophisticated and inviting atmosphere.
The private offices were thoughtfully laid out to provide a conducive environment for focused work, ensuring privacy and comfort for each individual. The reception area was crafted to make a lasting impression on clients and visitors, reflecting the company's brand identity and values.
The shared operational space was designed to promote collaboration and teamwork, fostering a sense of unity among employees. A well-equipped service area ensures that day-to-day operations run smoothly, contributing to the overall productivity of the office.
Throughout the design and construction process, attention was given to every detail, from the selection of materials to the integration of lighting and technology, resulting in a seamless and harmonious office space.
The end product is a stunning corporate office that not only meets the practical needs of the business but also creates a welcoming and inspiring environment for employees and clients alike.
The design of a 10-story building for offices and residential units was carried out on Avenida Insurgentes, one of the most important thoroughfares in Mexico City. The property has two frontages, one providing access to the office tower, and the other to a residential complex. Both facades seamlessly integrate with the surroundings, presenting a clear language that highlights their spatial aptitude.
The building has been conceived to make the most of the available space and provide functionality and comfort to its users. The office tower offers modern and efficient spaces to foster productivity and collaboration among the businesses that will occupy it.
On the other hand, the residential complex has been designed with special attention to the comfort and quality of life of its residents. Each residential unit boasts ample spaces, natural light, and panoramic views that enhance the living experience within the building.
The integration of both functions, offices, and residences, within a single building creates a dynamic and diverse community, where work and home converge in a vibrant urban environment.
Moreover, the architectural design seeks to establish a harmonious connection with the urban context of Avenida Insurgentes, respecting its character while adding value to the city's skyline.
In summary, the 10-story building on Avenida Insurgentes represents a balanced combination of functionality, aesthetics, and adaptation to the environment, making it an architectural icon in Mexico City.
Design and construction management
Located on Filomeno Mata Street, occupying approximately 200m2 on the first level of a building from the second half of the 19th century, and surrounded by a dominant historical urban context, the project was conceptualized for a space that evokes the memories of Mexico's golden age of cantinas. It was designed to adapt to spatial needs within an innovative and eclectic program that maintains a variety of interconnected spatial sequences, all enveloped by a warm and personal atmosphere. The project involved conceptualization, executive design, coordination with specialists, and construction management.
The B perimeter of Mexico City's Historic Center presents spatial dynamics that are significantly different from those in perimeter A, where the most significant buildings are generally located. Unfortunately, the neglect from authorities, traders, and both permanent and transient populations in perimeter B has led to a deterioration of the artisan market.
After analyzing the existing property and considering the spatial needs of the vendors, a decision was made to carry out a major intervention in the market. The property's relationship with its surroundings was found to be contrasting, prompting an initiative to integrate it into the context by reviving certain design elements present in the historic constructions of the center. These elements were then reinterpreted to reflect the modern space and time in which the market operates.
As part of this effort, the central courtyard was reinstated as the heart of all activities, and design elements reminiscent of the Baroque style, such as a variety of textures, apparent movement, and diverse spatial planes, were incorporated into the north and west facades facing the access square and the Pugibert garden. These facades now showcase patterns and images inspired by the vibrant colors of Mexican handicrafts, effectively bridging the gap between the exterior and interior of the market.
Similarly, the south and east facades, facing spaces with different characteristics, were adapted to include a spatial sequence leading to the courtyard, drawing inspiration from the layouts of prototypical buildings in the center.
By implementing these changes, the intervention seeks to revitalize and transform the market, connecting it more harmoniously with its historical surroundings while embracing the demands of the present.
