An audit was carried out at the Chetumal International Airport based on the aeronautical regulations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and public works regulations issued by the Secretariat of Communications and Transportation (SCT), as well as other applicable regulations. The purpose of the audit was to document, validate, or observe the procedures and quality control in the construction works for the following areas:
Runway and taxiway expansion
Machinery house
Wastewater treatment plant
Remodeling of the Fire and Rescue Station (SEI)
Parking facilities
Compliance with environmental conditions
The audit was conducted to ensure that the airport infrastructure and facilities met the required standards and regulations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance.
The audit of the New International Airport of Mexico City was carried out both traditionally and in real-time, meaning that it was conducted not only after the completion of the construction but also while the works were in progress. This included investigating the construction procedures developed for the airport, supervising and accompanying the construction process, and conducting inspections and quality tests.
