Q1 - What do you think of my walk cycle?
I think its really smooth and i wouldn't change anything
I think the walk could be more varied, maybe he can fall sometimes or trip over?
really boring but it works
Q2 - What do you think of my idle animation?
When he goes up the belt changes colour which is really distracting
I don't know what else could be done, maybe add a yoyo couple of frames for comedic effect?
nothing happens, i would make him look around like you did for your other game
Q3 - What do you think of my monster walk animation?
good, I really like his foot rubbing the floor, its really creepy
I don't like that it's nearly a full copy of the normal character but it looks relatively good anyways.
its just the same as the normal character walking
Q4 - If you can think of a way to make the monster scarier, what is it?
Id just make it roar or maybe throw up when it walks, that way it looks sick so it might infect the main character which would be good for the story
Maybe add a full trail behind the shattered foot? That way you can see the monster actually change the surroundings
i would make a new monster that's less like the player so it stands out
Q5 - Do you think the monster death is scary enough?
I think the monster death is a bit over the top but I still like it because it made me laugh
If you want your game to be a real horror, I would remove the death animation and remake it, it's too comedic to be in a real horror game and ruins the atmosphere.
its actually perfect since its gory and makes sure the player knows the monster is dead
Conclusion -
Unfortunately, I don't really have the time to change anything anymore due to being slightly behind in my production. This means that despite having some really good feedback, I can't really implement any of the changes people suggest without sacrificing other parts of the project. Instead, I can use this feedback in future projects to ensure I don't make the same mistakes or can continue doing what people think is good.
Without this feedback, it's likely I would be repeating the same mistakes or missing out good parts of my animations in future projects.
