Kim Heath Streby


Kim Heath Streby is a graduate of Albion College where she received a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. After graduating from Albion she continued her vocal studies at Indiana University. She has completed Levels I,II,and III in the Somatic Voicework, the Lovetri Method and is a member of NATS (National Teachers of Singing) and MSVMA (Michigan School Vocal Music Association).
She has performed professionally as a vocal soloist throughout the midwest. Most recently, she has performed the role of “Stepmother” in Pit and Balcony’s production of “Into the Woods” and “Pennywise” in Urinetown with Flint Community Players. She is also the director of Cantabella, professional women’s vocal ensemble. Kim has also helped to develop FCP Cabaret Workshop, which performs throughout the year.
In her teaching she has taught voice privately for 25 years. She is the owner of DIVA Vocal Arts. She specializes in helping others find their voice, especially through Broadway, Jazz, Pop, Sacred and Classical Music. A new adventure for Kim this year is that she is teaching elementary music for the Flint Community Schools at Brownell and Holmes Schools.
