Tops Magazines

Tops was a British magazine, aimed at young teenagers and published in the UK weekly by D.C. Thompson & Co Limited.  The magazine ran from 10th October 1981 to 28th January 1984, lasting 121 issues, when it was then re-branded and merged with Suzy Magazine to become "Suzy Tops".

Initially starting out as Tops it later became TV Tops and then reverted back to Tops. It was launched as a competitor to Look In Magazine, featuring pop and TV articles along with TV comic strips.

Fame and particularly Lee Curreri were very popular with Tops magazine and were featured regularly, with Lee having the most covers in 1983 of any artist or show. Also well as Fame interviews, articles and posters, the magazine also published a Fame picture strip in 43 issues.
