Fame Picture strips appeared weekly in the U.K. in TV Tops (Tops) Comic from Issue 79, dated 9th April 1983 to Issue 121 dated 28th January 1984, which was the final issue of the comic in its own right.

The picture Strip from 14th May 1983 was reprinted on 21st January 1984. Tops then Merged with Suzy to become Suzy Tops. The Fame picture strip continued in Suzy from issue 75 dated 11th February 1984 to Issue 104 dated 1st September 1984. Issues 78, 81, 84, 88 and 93 replaced the Picture Strip with a Fame Feature. The Picture Strips were written by Maureen and Gordon Gray and had been commissioned in November 1982 with DC Thomson licensing the characters from MGM.

The picture strips were sold to Dutch and Spanish Magazines and translated for publication in those countries. In the Netherlands Anita Comic ran the strip from 8th July to 30th December 1983. The strips were then complied into 3 compendium books by TV Topper.

In Spain the pictures strips were run a couple of times in Esther Magazine through 1983 to 1985.
