Housing: Please view my website for my positions on these issues.
Public Safety: I do not agree with your statement “it is possible to build a polic-free community” not possible!
Indigenous Sovereignty: Would the 2 paid Indigenous positions on Regional, Municipal & School Board Trustees be voted on by the Indigenous Community or would they be appointed? I feel they should be voted in by the Indigenous voters! I do agree with recognizing Willow River Park! However I do not agree with removing the Queen Victoria statue for the following reasons. First, I do not believe in burying history! I think the solution is to erect a plaque beside the statue written by an Indigenous scholar, explaining the Queen’s role in the colonization & genocide of Indigenous peoples! This would be a good learning tool for present and future generations!
Social Services: Please note I address all these issues on my website!
Transportation: I do not agree with full winter maintenance for sidewalk’s! I feel it is the responsibility of homeowners and business owners to clear & maintain their sidewalks in the winter! This should be policed on a priority basis & the City should clear the sidewalks immediately & charge the homeowner or business owner for this service!
Other: There are 3 important issues in Ward 4 that need to be addressed by the City during the upcoming term, 1. Extension of Biehn Drive. 2. Storm water catch pond proposed for Millwood Park for 2025. 3. High rise development @ 490 Huron Road.
