The Nomadic Xenography Club
The Nomadic Xenography Club
Jade grew up as the golden only child—the academic prodigy, the responsible one, the kind of person everyone wanted to be friends with. She always knew what to say, how to help, how to make things right. She found comfort in books and endless study, obsessed with knowing everything there was to know.
But inside, she longed to disappear. She didn’t want to be admired, she wanted to be unseen. Validation meant nothing, attention even less. So when she met Lux and Lexi, a pair of rowdy siblings who barely looked twice at her, she was intrigued. Helping them study, showing them around the city—slowly, she earned a place beside them. For once, she existed in a world that didn’t revolve around her. She didn’t need to perform, didn’t need to speak, the twins filled the silence, and she was content to just be there
That peace shattered the day she led them down a wrong turn—an alley she didn’t know as well as she thought. The three vanished, victims of the city’s growing epidemic of kidnappings and genetic experimentation. Confiscated and sent to the E.I., Jade decided she’d learn every inch of the institution, every secret, every Exper—anything that might bring them closer to freedom
Age: 16
Height: 5'9
Sexuality: Bisexual
Species: Chameleon Exper
Personality Traits: Level-headed, quiet, and understanding. Matches other people's pace, knows exactly what to say to get a certain result. Goes silent when feeling any strong emotion because she's too much in her head.
Hobbies: Studying, learning, reading, observing Lux and Lexi, exploring.
Dislikes: Not knowing things, being denied answers, authority figures who don't like her, and Lux and Lexi catching her off guard.
Physical Characteristics: Hair can change colors. Has extremly sensitive skin.
Lux & Lexi: Sent to E.I with Jade, the group never found a place to claim or a building to raid. They became known as the nomads of the back of the school. While Lux and Lexi's wings are too small to actually let them fly, they're great shields and weapons. So they act as Jade's bodyguards as she explores the environment they were thrown into.
Lux and Lexi grew up like any other pair of siblings—barefoot in the grass, racing through hills and creeks, vanishing into the deep woods until dusk. Life was simple until their father landed a “fantastic opportunity” in the city. Overnight, their world turned into glass towers, polished shoes, and strict uniforms at an elite private school.
Out of place and unimpressed, the siblings mostly kept to themselves—until they met Jade, their first and only real friend. Jade was everything they weren’t: smart, popular, effortlessly grounded. The three became inseparable, spending their afternoons wandering the city’s tangled streets and hidden corners.
Then one day, they vanished. Kidnapping and genetic experimentation had become disturbingly common, and the three were eventually found among the confiscated—taken to the E.I. Lux and Lexi never left Jade’s side.
Species: Vulture and Dove Expers
Age: Lux: 15, Lexi: 17
Sexuality: Bisexual
Physical Characteristics: Wings are useless (They only have 1 wing each), but great shields and weapons.
Hobbies: Messing with Jade, brawling/ sparing with each other, fighting others, and playing hide and seek.
Dislikes: Jade ignoring them or being hurt, people understanding when they speak Spanish to each other, and having to stay still.
Personality Traits: Extremely playful, work well with each other. Lux tends to be the more serious one, but Lexi is always the one who knows what actions need to be taken first. While they've never had a serious argument, they usually make Jade choose between the two of them in disagreements or petty fights.

FILE DESIGNATION: N.X.C. — Nomadic Xenography Club
Classification: Mid-Tier Academic Entity / Mobile Division
Supervisor: None (Approved under Independent Study Clause §4.8)
Primary Members: Lux [Vulture Exper], Lexi [Doxe Exper], Jade [Chameleon Exper]
Status: Active / Unrestricted Movement Authorized
Overview:
The Nomadic Xenography Club (N.X.C.) operates under a self-directed charter emphasizing exploration, documentation, and behavioral study within the Experimental Institution. Established by Lux and Lexi, with oversight coordination by Jade, the group’s mission statement reads simply:
“To study the unfamiliar by becoming part of it.”
Composed of Expers naturally inclined toward observation and adaptability, the club functions as the Institution’s unofficial field research unit. Members traverse unmonitored areas of the Back Wing—maintenance tunnels, abandoned labs, collapsed corridors, and the perimeter of restricted sectors—gathering notes, sketches, and biological samples for study.
Purpose and Academic Function:
While officially categorized as a xenographic and environmental studies club, N.X.C.’s work extends beyond scientific observation. Their role bridges curiosity and survival:
Cartographic Work: Charting undocumented areas within the E.I.
Ethnographic Study: Recording behavior, dialect, and cultural patterns among Exper populations.
Environmental Adaptation: Testing physiological endurance across light, temperature, and containment variables.
Their findings are stored in The Nomad Codex, a collective field journal said to contain maps, sketches, and firsthand records of nearly every accessible (and some forbidden) part of the Institution.
Social Standing:
The N.X.C. maintains a unique position among Back Wing collectives. While lacking the authority or dominance of groups like the Thanatology Study Club, they command universal respect for their neutrality, fearlessness, and knowledge of terrain. Many Expers seek their guidance when traveling between sectors—or when trying to escape.
Known informally as “The Nomads,” they move freely across the Back Wing’s chaotic hierarchy, neither feared nor hated, but regarded as quiet observers of everyone’s story.
Their motto, scrawled across the cover of the Nomad Codex, reads:
“The unknown is only strange until it’s mapped.”
Administrative Note:
Despite occasional breaches of boundary protocol, the Nomadic Xenography Club remains a beneficial presence in the Back Wing, providing crucial data to institutional researchers. No disciplinary action is currently recommended.
Status: Monitored — Non-threatening.
