EXPERIMENTAL INSTITUTION (E.I.)
File Ref. No.: EI-/2025-04-B
Clearance Level: Tier-4 (Authorized Personnel Only)
Status: Active – Containment Ongoing
Document Type: Internal Brief / Back Wing Operations Summary
OVERVIEW:
The Experimental Institution (E.I.) operates as a government-sanctioned containment and research facility for human-adjacent entities, colloquially referred to as “Expers.” These individuals are the result of sanctioned and unsanctioned applications of genetic modification technologies, most notably the Lambda Procedures developed during the early adaptation phase of Gen-Alter research.
The Institution’s purpose is twofold:
To contain and regulate Expers who have exhibited unstable or hazardous traits incompatible with societal integration.
To observe and document the long-term effects of genetic restructuring on physical, psychological, and behavioral development.
THE BACK WING:
Subjects assigned to the Back Wing are those considered unsuitable for public rehabilitation programs. Containment standards are minimal, and hierarchical structures have emerged among Expers themselves — most notably through the formation of self-designated “clubs,” each mirroring the academic facade of a traditional school system.
Faculty presence in this sector is limited to essential oversight staff and internal researchers. Notable among them is ███ █████████, a long-term Exper permitted to retain partial autonomy and teaching privileges under Class-A Observation.
APPERANCE NOTE:
While the Front of the School is a modern school building, the back is made up of hidden grounds, labs, and ruined facilities. Housing is rare unless in strict containment.
CURRENT RESEARCH PRIORITIES:
Long-term physiological stability following multi-strain genetic alteration.
Emergent behavioral clustering within unsupervised Exper environments.
Potential for adaptive regeneration and cross-species neurological mapping.
Study of containment ethics and psychological decay under prolonged isolation.
