EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

The event started with a prayer song followed by a sweet welcome address for the welcoming of the chief guests, principal, faculty mentors, president of the chapter, and fellow students. After the welcome speech, the president, Mr. K G Rumesh Sree gave a short speech to welcome everyone and about the working of the EWB chapter. He also introduced all the office bearers of the chapter and their contributions to the chapter’s well-being. A PowerPoint presentation was presented to the attendees to make them understand the working of this student chapter. It also had a small interactive event similar to connections. It was all about finding the problem with the help of a given picture and the students are supposed to give engineering and economic solutions to the problems found. The students who were most attentive and interactive were noted by the organizers to help in the recruitment process.

After this session, our honorable principal, Dr. M. Palaninatharaja, gave a short speech addressing the event and the chief guest. He also informed me about the achievements of the EWB chapter. Next, the chief guest of this event, Mr. D. Gokul, founder and former president of the EWB Chennai chapter gave a short speech about the EWB organization and its subdivisions of it in various states. Sir has Completed the INTERNAL AUDITOR on Quality Management System from LRQA. He has published 30 papers in various National and International conferences Addressed more than 30 Guest Lectures at various prominent institutions and has also been a Panelist member for the vision 2020 conference at Jeppiaar Engineering college & Satish Dhawan Space Centre, ISRO, Sriharikota. After the chief guest’s speech, a queries session was held to clarify any doubts regarding the joining of the TCE EWB chapter, and a google form was circulated for recruiting the interested students, and at last, a vote of thanks was given by the organizers ending it with a wonderful speech thanking everyone who attended the event and to the Principal, Chief Guest and all the office bearers of the chapter.

Overall, the event was conducted successfully with the help of our honorable chief guest, Principal, Our faculty mentor Dr.S.Saravana Perumal also with our excellent committee members and organizing team. This will pave the way for the development of the chapter and upcoming events of the chapter at TCE with this initiation to extend our chapter family with the enthusiastic minds of the freshers and to achieve the 17 Sustainable goals.
