EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The first activity of EWB TCE chapter the “Tech connections” was conducted on the evening of 4th June. The event was conducted in two groups headed and organized by Mr. Rahul Kannan , Mr. Gokul for group 1 and Mr. Rumesh Sree K G, Mr. Nirmal selva for group 2. This was basically an introductory event to get familiarized with the various EWB chapters present around the world. This meet was conducted in a thought provoking way by establishing a game show called “connections” where the projects done by various EWB chapters are pictorially represented as pieces and the audience should connect between the pieces and extract the correct project name out of it. After that there was a small explanation about the project which the audience had guessed. The event consisted of about 20 projects represented pictorially as pieces. The audience connected them and showcased their guesses in the chat box. Based on the priority, the audience were awarded marks. This event held about an hour and there was an active participation from most of the audience since it was planned as a fun filled learning activity. And finally the session ended with a discussion session where members were allowed to express their views about the event. This event mainly boosted the interest in our student chapter which gave us many active participation in our student chapter.

Conclusion

The first and foremost event of the EWB chapter was conducted successfully and received positive responses from the members. This event gave an idea for developing a technical project on our own. The info from the event sowed seeds in the young minds and will surely develop into a tree full of knowledge.
