Be nice. Treat every member and admin with respect and understanding. We aim to provide a safe and welcoming environment for everyone alike. Racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and other discriminations will not be tolerated.
Be Patient. For us, the ARPG is a hobby that comes second to our personal lives. Admins do their best to keep the group moving forward and wait times short, but there may be time of slow progress. Admins are volunteering with their duties.
Please wait at least a week before reminding us about anything that is still pending.
Multiple accounts are not allowed. Using secondary accounts to claim or farm in-game items and currencies is not allowed.
You are welcome to change your primary account whenever you like, but the old account will be removed from the game.
Using multiple accounts to cheat the system will result in an immediate ban!
Keep things PG-13.
While mild violence is allowed, anything extreme and grotesque should be properly censored.
Sexual content of any kind is not allowed.
IRL currencies are not allowed. In-game assets are easily accessible through art, both drawn and written. We do not allow trading for IRL currencies or DA points.
You are, of course, allowed to advertise your commissions to our members, but members found to be selling items, cats, breeding slots, and the like - and those using commissioned artwork to gain items and/or runes - will receive a warning.
Certain topics are discouraged. Topics that may cause distress to others are banned.
If a topic is brought up, an admin will ask the topic to be dropped. Whilst you won't be punished for first mentioning it, not complying is breaking the rules. If a member also asks a sensitive topic to be dropped, this should not be ignored.
Keep cussing to a minimum. While we do allow cussing and swearing, we do not allow slurs.
The use of excessive curse words is both uncomfortable and a bad look. We understand frustrations may occur, and sometimes we just need to vent our feelings out.
Whenever you address forms including other members, be sure to include their username as well as a ping.
Names
Derogatory, macabre and otherwise offensive names will not be accepted. Some words may be accepted based on context. For example, 'Skull' by itself would be an acceptable name, but using it as a suffix in 'Brokenskull' would be too morbid for the group.
Names that depict violent actions are not allowed.
Group Names
Group names must be unique. If a name is considered too similar to a pre-existing group you will be asked to change it. Similarity is judged by pronounciation and spelling, not by meaning.
For example, Sunclan and Clan of Sun would be considered too similar. Sunclan and Tribe of rising suns would be acceptable.
Do not harass other members to give you or change their group name.
IDs
IDs are assigned to each cat that has existed within the game.
IDs cannot be changed or removed.
IDs can be written in any format (ie. ID# 1 | 01 | 001 | #1) as long as it's the corresponding ID number.
Groups
There is no limit to how many groups you can make.
Each group has a max. capacity of 200 cats.
Spreadsheets
Never edit someone else's spreadsheet without their permission. If you accidentally do, be sure to hit the undo button!
You can add as many additional tabs as you want to your sheet. However, the following tabs must always remain first: Welcome, Cats, Nursery.
Cat Related
Breeding of specified banned-gene combos or inbreeding attempts are not permitted.
Banned gene combos include: Manx x Manx, Munchkin x Munchkin, Folded ears x Folded ears
Trading of Pregnant, sick or injured cats are also not permitted.
Trading
Do not use another member's items and/or cats without permission.
Do not steal or scam other players. We understand that offering art deals can be a gamble and sometimes take longer than intended, but offering art and not delivering will result in a strike.
When participating in trades its important to ensure you're communicating with the other party. Members may message an admin about returning things if one half of a trade is not complete (though the member will need to make the other aware, and provide evidence that the trade is not being followed through).
Tales of Eventides is a your-own-pace group. We do not host typical activity checks in order to promote members moving forward at their own speed without feeling pressured to keep up.
On rare occasions, usually once a year, we like to check in with our members. A Discord DM will be sent out to members who haven't been active in a long time, those with 3+ months without any activity either on Discord, to check if they're still interested in the group.
Members who receive this note will be given two (2) months to reply. A simple yes or no will suffice! We will remove groups belonging to players who don't answer this note.
If you're certain you will be away for an extended period of time, please let us know! Your group will be placed in an undefined hiatus and will be exempt from any activity notes.
It's always sad to see members go, but we understand!
When leaving you will receive a one (1) month grace period, in which you will be able to return to your cats and inventory still intact. Once that month is up, if you decide to return you will need to start from scratch.
Leaving without any form of notification will result in:
Your group(s) getting dissolved.
Cats will be marked as deceased. Those with living, in-game relations may be offered off to other players. Cats remaining in-game will always be redesigned.
