A cat's status may affect their ability to complete tasks.
! While admins may occasionally edit the status column in your sheet, their status in the ID Masterlist is what will ultimately determine what sort of activities your cats may participate in. Your sheet is for you to track more detailed information as needed.
Cats with Healthy Status are not restricted in any way.
A cat may sometimes fall ill. The illness is always unspecified, giving players freedom over the symptoms, but the gravity is set.
Cats that are Sick cannot breed, participate in Patrols nor go on Adventures.
Cats can lose their Sick status through healing.
Kitcough - applies to Kittens only. 50% health loss.
Whitecough - 10% health loss.
Greencough - 50% health loss.
Blackcough - 75% health loss.
A cat may sometimes get injured. Similar to illnesses, a player can choose how a cat gets injured.
Cats that are Injured cannot breed, but may still participate in Patrols nor go on Adventures. Keep in mind that injuries will stack with each other and a cat may die if their health drops to 0.
Cats can lose their Injured status through healing.
Small Injury - 10% health loss.
Medium Injury - 50% health loss.
Large Injury - 75% health loss.
DFAB cats will gain the Pregnant status after a Breeding request is sent. They will maintain this status until their litter is born.
While pregnant, cats will not be able to breed, go on patrol or participate in adventures. Nursing cats may go on Patrols and adventures, but may not breed until the nursing status is removed.
Once the litter has been confirmed, the cat will change into the Nursing status. Cats will keep their nursing status until all their kits within the group reach adolescent age, kits are sent to another group, or the kittens are being looked after by another cat.
In the case of cats being looked after by another cat, this cat will receive the Nursing status instead until all the kits within the group they are looking after reach adolescent age.
A cat can only look after 6 kittens at a time.
A cat with the Sterile status has been neutered, is naturally sterile or has run out of available Litters. These cats cannot breed, but may otherwise participate in the rest of the group. This status is irreversible. This status may be applied at any time to a cat through the #updates channel.
A cat with the elder status has retired from their duties, either willingly or due to other complications. This status is irreversible.
Cats with the Elder status may not breed. When going on Patrols or Adventures, they roll with disadvantage. Similarly to apprentices, they have a higher chance of being injured. This status may be applied at any time to a cat through the #updates channel.
A cat that has passed.
Cats who have passed may reach Legacy status through active participation in their spirit form. These cats will give a weekly rune bonus to the player who owns them while they exist with their Legacy status. Only cats that have achieved Legacy are eligible for rebirth.
