How to Join

By sending a Join Request, you agree to all of our Rules. 

The game is hosted entirely on Discord. As a result, you will need an active Discord account. (They're free to make!)

I. Introduce Yourself!

When you first enter the Discord server, you will be automatically assigned the Loners role. With this role you will be able to see most of the group's activity but you will be unable to participate in anything. 

Do say hello! You'll be able to introduce yourself in our #introductions channel. 

You will need one username to go by! This can be your discord handle, your dA username, or even another social media name. It should be unique to another player's username. All of your in-game cats and items will be tied down to this username. Please be sure to include your username in your Discord Nickname!

II. Your Group

Upon first joining, you are allowed ownership of one(1) group and two(2) starter cats. 

Your group may be located in any of the six Lands. There isn't an advantage or disadvantage to where your group is located, so feel free to choose the Land that best corresponds with the type of environment you like the most. 

As a reminder, your group name must not be in use by an existing group nor be too similar to another group. 

III. Your Cats

You're given two(2) cats for free to start fleshing out your group. 

These two cats can be completely customized to your liking. If you had an idea, but it doesn't quite work out with the genes you chose originally, they can be altered (for free!) to match your idea better. Alternatively, you can have your starter cats completely randomized and then altered from this starting point. 

Starter cats, however, do not have access to the entire trait pool. You can choose a max of two of the following Pedigree genes to give to each of your starters.

• Chocolate*

• Cinnamon*

• Albinism*

• Siamese Point*

• Burmese Point*

• Kurilian Bobtail

• Manx

• Curled Ears

• Folded Ears

• Curly Fur

• Random Mutation

* The marked genes are considered recessive, and thus need two copies to express on a cat. Selecting only one copy of these genes means your cat will only carry these, instead of expressing them. 

To make the process a bit more streamlined, we have created a form that you can fill in. 

You should fill this form for each of your starters, unless you plan to randomize their looks.

IV. Send the Request

Once you're ready, head over to our #Group-Setup channel. 

Please create a new thread for your new group and fill the following form:

What do I start with?

In addition to your First Group and starter cats, a Free Restart Voucher will be added to your inventory. A Restart Voucher, when redeemed, will allow you to completely wipe all progress associated with your current group and you'll be able to start fresh! 

This will not affect any items in your inventory, it will only wipe down one (1) group of your choosing. 

Every group starts with 15 territory. Each cat in your groups takes up one (1) territory space. 

If you reach your limit, you will not be able to gain any more cats. You can always buy more territory space at the Rune Store. 

Additionally, every group has enough space for 3 pregnant queens. If you already have 3 unconfirmed litters, you will not be able to breed any more of your dfab cats! You can:

• Confirm a litter. This will have your queen give birth to her kittens and free up a Nursery space. 

• Buy a Nursery Space at the Rune Store.

Can I join another player's group?

Yes! You may join an already existing member's group as long as you have explicit permission to do so. You would fill up the form using the existing group's information. The existing member must confirm in the same thread that you are allowed to join their group. The group should have enough space for your cats. 

A Free Group Voucher will be added to your inventory as well as a Free Restart Voucher, and your cats will be added to the existing member's sheet. 

Please keep in mind that the owner of the group is the allowed to make all decisions over their group, whether it affects your cats or not. Any decisions made should involve all players beforehand. 

Whenever you participate in events, or anything that involves claiming or purchasing a cat, you will be asked for permission from the group's owner to proceed.
