5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively.
I participated in a basketball tournament in NIST on February 5. As I entered the gym, I saw other schools that started games and some were warming up. The sound of ball bouncing, communication with teams, and whistling filled the place. We also started stretching, I have felt nervous since then. However, talking and playing around with teammates made me feel comfortable. We played three games that day, and I made frequent mistakes and also raised the point. I was thankful that team members did well, and we ended up in second place. It was good to get a medal, but what was better was that I played with other schools after a long time. Before this tournament, we always played with teammates because of Covid19. Playing games with other schools made me realize my weaknesses and learn new things, so I felt like I was growing up.

The CAS Showcase is where you can meet various clubs and attend high school students and teachers. Korean Club decided to perform in the showcase with the songs called "Smiley, Eleven, and Step Back." We took our time memorizing choreography and getting together to practice for this performance. In this process, I watched the video countless times and repeatedly practiced so that my body remembers them. It was not easy because it was a new challenge for me and a time to learn new skills. When we gathered to practice, we had a minor conflict, and it took a long time to complete choreography and formation. However, as we organized other people's opinions, we matched them one by one. As a result of rehearsing together for 1 hour and 30 minutes, we could find our positions and dance to the song. At first, I was at a loss and wondered if I could complete it in time. However, they all put their passion and efforts and were able to become one through encouragement and communication. We still lack a lot, but I want to do my best to show it to people.
(May 20)
It was the day of the CAS showcase. There was no tension when I waited for my turn while preparing for the rehearsal. When the song came out, I felt my body tense. I rarely listened to music during rehearsals, and I danced not to make a mistake. People gradually gathered, and my tension seemed to have reached its peak. We cheered each other to perform hard, which made my mind a little more comfortable. We moved to the center to perform, and the song started. I was a little embarrassed because there was no response than I expected, but it was a pleasant time, and I was proud to show performance. While doing this, I learned that it was doubly better to tremble and overcome with a group of people than to get nervous and overcome alone because we can share our feelings, especially when we share joy; it is often more emotional. If I can perform like this again, I want to try again and show better K-pop songs and choreography.
