Participating in the ISB Volleyball Tournament was an exciting and challenging experience. Competing with my team against other schools pushed me both physically and mentally. We trained hard before the tournament, focusing on improving our skills, teamwork, and communication. When the matches began, I felt both nervous and excited, knowing that all of our preparation would be put to the test.
One of the biggest challenges was playing under pressure, especially during close matches. At times, I made mistakes that frustrated me, but I learned to stay focused and not let one mistake affect my overall performance. Instead of dwelling on errors, I reminded myself to move forward and support my teammates. This experience helped me recognize my strengths and areas for improvement, such as staying calm under pressure and improving my reaction time.
Throughout the tournament, I also saw the importance of teamwork. Volleyball is not just about individual skills; it requires strong communication, trust, and coordination. We encouraged each other after every point, whether we won or lost it, and adapted our strategies based on our opponents' playstyle. By working together, we were able to play at our best and push through tough moments.Â
