Eternos Empire is a safe space for queer folks. Do not violate this expectation.
Your server uses TownyChat to organize conversations and keep things tidy! You can switch between different chat channels to talk to specific groups of people.
Here's how it works:
This is the default channel. Everyone on the server can see messages sent here, no matter where they are.
To join Global Chat: Simply type /g OR, if you are already in Global Chat, just type your message normally!
Example: /g Hey everyone, who wants to build something cool? or Hello world!
This channel is for communicating with other members of your Town. Only people in your Town can see these messages.
To join Town Chat: Type /tc
Example: /tc Hey Mayor, where should we expand next? or (If in Town Chat) Anyone online for a town event tonight?
If your Town is part of a Nation, this channel allows you to talk to everyone in any Town within your Nation.
To join Nation Chat: Type /nc
Example: /nc Nations, we need to coordinate our defenses! or (If in Nation Chat) Is anyone else from our Nation online?
If your Nation has formed alliances with other Nations, this channel lets you communicate with all members of your allied Nations.
To join Alliance Chat: Type /ac
Example: /ac Allies, we're planning a trade route. Interested?
Local chat allows you to speak only to players who are close to you in the game world. Useful for casual conversation with people in your immediate vicinity.
To join Local Chat: Type /l
Example: /l Is anyone else hearing those zombies? or (If in Local Chat) Mind if I mine these diamonds near you?
Staying in a Channel: Once you use a command like /tc, you will stay in that channel until you type another channel command (like /g or /nc).
Temporary Global Message: If you are in a different channel (like Town Chat) but want to send one message to Global Chat without leaving your current channel, just start your message with an exclamation point !: !Does anyone have extra iron to sell? (This message goes to Global, but you remain in your current channel).
Seeing Channel Names: The chat format will show you which channel you are currently speaking in (e.g., [G] for Global, [T] for Town, [N] for Nation, [L] for Local, [A] for Alliance).
Happy chatting!
