Eternos Empire is a safe space for queer folks. Do not violate this expectation.
Hey everyone! Our server uses a plugin called FastMinecarts that changes your minecart's top speed based on the block underneath the rail.
This means you can build tracks designed for super-fast travel or even create intentional slowdown zones for stations, scenic routes, or challenges!
The default vanilla minecart speed is considered 1x. All other speeds are relative to that.
Important Clarifications:
Powered Rails are Still Essential: The speeds listed below are the maximum achievable speeds when traveling over these blocks. To reach these top speeds, you will still need to use Powered Rails for propulsion. These blocks define the speed limit, not the engine.
For Players Only: These custom speed modifications only apply when a player is riding the minecart. Carts without players (e.g., storage carts, hopper carts, empty carts) will still adhere to vanilla mechanics for unridden carts.
1. Zooming Tracks (Faster than 1x Vanilla Speed)
These are your go-to blocks for high-speed travel. The smoother or more refined the material, the faster you'll go!
Copper Blocks (Waxed/Unwaxed, Cut, Slabs, Stairs): These are fantastic for high-speed rails, but there's a cool twist:
Brand New (Unoxidized): 3x Speed
Exposed: 2.5x Speed
Weathered: 2x Speed
Oxidized: 1x Speed (Returns to normal vanilla speed, slowest copper)
Tip: Use Waxed Copper if you want to lock in a specific speed permanently!
Wood Blocks: Perfect for wooden coasters or themed lines.
Logs & Stripped Wood (e.g., Oak Log, Spruce Wood): 2.25x Speed (Very fast, almost the top speed!)
Hard-to-Farm Planks (Crimson, Warped, Cherry): 2x Speed (Excellent speed for these premium woods)
Medium-to-Farm Planks (Oak, Birch, Acacia, Dark Oak, Mangrove): 1.75x Speed (Solid speed for common woods)
Easy-to-Farm Planks (Spruce, Bamboo, Jungle): 1.5x Speed (Still faster than normal, great for basic lines)
Note: Bamboo Blocks (not planks) are a unique case, running at 1.75x Speed.
Refined Stone & Rare Materials: These are your strong, reliable options for speedy tracks.
Advanced & Rare (Polished Deepslate, Prismarine, Quartz, Purpur, Calcite, Amethyst, Reinforced Deepslate): 2x Speed (Top speed for stone-based tracks, premium feel!)
Basic Refined (Smooth Stone, Stone Bricks, Polished Andesite/Diorite/Granite, Nether Bricks, Sandstone variants): 1.75x Speed (Great for general purpose speed lines)
Basic Crafted Stone (Cobblestone, Stone, Raw Deepslate, Tuff, Basalt, Blackstone): 1.25x Speed (A nice boost over normal, common for early game tracks)
2. Slowdown Zones (Slower than 1x Vanilla Speed)
Sometimes you want your cart to slow down. These blocks are designed to create intentional drag, perfect for station entrances, loading areas, or challenging obstacles!
Tier 1: Extremely Slow (as low as 0.175x Speed):
Soul Sand / Soul Soil: 0.175x Speed (The slowest, almost a complete stop!)
Sand: 0.225x Speed
Red Sand: 0.25x Speed
Tier 2: Very Slow (0.3x - 0.475x Speed):
Mud: 0.3x Speed
Muddy Mangrove Roots: 0.35x Speed
Clay: 0.4x Speed
Dirt: 0.45x Speed
Grass Block: 0.475x Speed
Tier 3: Significantly Slowed (0.5x - 0.7x Speed):
Coarse Dirt: 0.5x Speed
Rooted Dirt: 0.55x Speed
Podzol: 0.6x Speed
Mycelium: 0.65x Speed
Gravel: 0.7x Speed
Tier 4: Moderately Slowed (0.75x - 0.95x Speed):
Magma Block: 0.75x Speed
Netherrack: 0.8x Speed
Obsidian: 0.85x Speed
Crimson Nylium: 0.9x Speed
Warped Nylium: 0.95x Speed
Simply place the desired block directly underneath your rail track. The game will automatically adjust your minecart's maximum speed as you pass over that block!
Experiment with different materials to find the perfect speed for your next minecart build. Happy riding!
