Eternos Empire is a safe space for queer folks. Do not violate this expectation.
Welcome to the world of player-run economy! QuickShop-Hikari lets you easily buy, sell, and trade items directly from chests. This guide covers everything you need to know, whether you're setting up your own store or just looking for a good deal.
Want to become a master merchant? Follow these simple steps to set up your own buying or selling shop:
Find a Spot, Place a Chest:
Choose a good, visible location for your shop.
Place a regular Minecraft chest. This is where your items (and customer's money) will be stored.
Important: Make sure you have permission to build in this area! If you can't place a chest or a sign, you might need to claim the land first.
Decide Your Quantity (Per Transaction):
Take the item you want to sell (or buy) and hold the exact number of items you want to sell/buy at one time in your hand.
Example:
To sell 1 diamond per purchase, hold 1 diamond.
To sell a stack of 16 iron ingots per purchase, hold 16 iron ingots.
To sell a full stack of 64 cobblestone per purchase, hold 64 cobblestone.
Left-Click the Chest:
While holding the chosen quantity of items, left-click the chest you just placed.
Set Your Price (in Chat):
A message will appear in your chat, asking you to "Type the price in chat...".
Type the price you want for the quantity you're holding (e.g., 50 for 1 diamond, or 3200 for your stack of 64 cobblestone).
Press Enter.
Your Shop is Open!
If successful, an item will float above your chest, and a sign will automatically attach to its side, displaying your shop's information.
Keep in Mind:
Each chest can only be either a selling shop or a buying shop. You can't do both with one chest. If you want to sell and buy the same item, use two separate chests (or a double-chest, where one side is for selling and the other for buying).
Using someone else's shop is even easier than making your own!
Find a Shop:
Look for chests with items floating above them and a sign attached. The sign will tell you if it's a "Buy" or "Sell" shop, and the price.
Left-Click the Shop Sign:
To interact with the shop, simply left-click the sign on the side of the chest.
Enter the Quantity (in Chat):
A message will appear in your chat, asking you "How many you want to buy/sell?".
Type the exact number of items you want to buy or sell, and press Enter.
What Happens Next:
Buying: The cost will be deducted from your money, and the items will appear in your inventory. Make sure you have enough money and inventory space!
Selling: The items will be taken from your inventory, and the money will be added to your balance. Make sure you have the items in your inventory!
Item Preview (Optional):
Sometimes, when you left-click a sign, a special screen will pop up showing you a detailed preview of the item you're about to buy. This is a great way to double-check enchantments, custom names, or other details to avoid mistakes!
As a shop owner, you'll love the easy-to-use Shop Control Panel. No complicated commands needed for most changes!
Access the Control Panel:
Right-click the shop sign of your own shop.
A graphical menu (GUI) will open, giving you many options.
Explore the Options:
Change Price: Click the icon related to price to adjust how much you buy/sell for.
Switch Mode: Change your shop from "selling" to "buying" or vice-versa.
Change Item: If you want your shop to sell/buy a different item, you can often do it directly from here.
Staff Management: (See next section!)
And More! Click around to discover all the options available to you.
Did you create a shop that sells one item at a time, but now you want it to sell 8 or 16 at once? Or vice-versa? You can change the "bulk size" of your shop!
Look at Your Shop: Make sure you are looking directly at your shop's sign.
Use the Command: Type: /quickshop size <amount> or /qs size <amount>
Replace <amount> with the new quantity you want per transaction (e.g., 8, 16, 64).
Example: To make your shop sell 8 diamonds at a time, type /qs size 8 while looking at the shop.
Adjust Price (if needed): Remember, the price of your shop is for the entire transaction amount. If you change the size, you might want to adjust the price accordingly using /qs price <newprice>.
Running a busy shop can be a lot of work! You can add trusted players as "staff" to help you:
What Staff Can Do: Shop staff can open your shop's chest to add or remove stock, even if your chest is normally protected by a land claim. They cannot change the shop's price or mode, or take money from the shop's balance.
How to Add Staff:
Look at your shop's sign.
Type the command: /quickshop staff add <playername> (replace <playername> with their in-game name).
How to Remove Staff:
Look at your shop's sign.
Type the command: /quickshop staff del <playername>
How to List Staff:
Look at your shop's sign.
Type the command: /quickshop staff list
Some shops might offer special advantages to certain players, like discounts or better prices!
How to Check for Benefits:
Right-click the shop sign to open the Shop Control Panel. Sometimes benefits information is displayed here.
Or, while looking at a shop sign, type the command: /quickshop benefit or /qs benefit. This will show you any special offers or discounts that apply specifically to you at that shop.
How Benefits Work:
If a shop has benefits enabled and you qualify (e.g., you're in a specific player group, or it's a loyalty bonus), you might see:
Lower prices when buying from that shop.
Higher payouts when selling to that shop.
Other custom perks set by the server or shop owner.
These commands can make your QuickShop experience even smoother:
/quickshop find <itemname> or /qs find <itemname>:
Purpose: Locate shops that sell or buy a specific item.
Example: /qs find diamond will point you to the nearest diamond shops.
/quickshop price <newprice> or /qs price <newprice>:
Purpose: Change the price of the shop you are currently looking at.
Example: While looking at your shop, type /qs price 150 to change the price to 150.
/quickshop buy or /qs buy:
Purpose: Change the shop you are looking at to a "buying" shop.
/quickshop sell or /qs sell:
Purpose: Change the shop you are looking at to a "selling" shop.
/quickshop info or /qs info:
Purpose: Displays general information about the QuickShop plugin.
"Can't build here!" or "No sign placed!"
This usually means a land claim or protection plugin is stopping you from building in that spot. Make sure you have full building permissions in the area where you're placing your shop.
"Not enough money" or "Not enough space!":
Always double-check your in-game money balance and ensure you have enough empty slots in your inventory before trying to buy or sell.
My shop isn't selling/buying items!
Selling Shop: Make sure you have items in the chest. Customers can only buy what's in stock!
Buying Shop: Make sure you have enough money in your balance (the shop's owner's balance) to pay players when they sell to you.
You're now ready to fully engage with the QuickShop-Hikari economy! Have fun buying, selling, and managing your very own in-game businesses! If you encounter any further issues, don't hesitate to contact server staff.
