Making Space

This section of the resource is focused on SPACE. By ‘space’, we mean both the physical and digital spaces of a makerspace classroom.

Here we explore how the ways we exist in different environments affect each of us in unique and impactful ways. With this understanding, we look at aspects of design to think about how we can design spaces of learning with intention and from a place of equity, diversity, inclusion, decolonization and anti-racism. We also consider how to incorporate digital spaces in meaningful ways and put our minds to thinking about how we can transform the space, shape and form of education as we currently know it, to something new, innovative, exciting and effective.
