Activity
Please participate in the Padlet activity above. Summarize your biggest take away(s) from this module. Include comments or questions regarding pedagogical strategies in increasing engagement and/or your personal experiences.
Did you notice that this module followed the first two steps of a flipped classroom? By getting you to read the materials and then post your comments on Padlet, we were able to gauge the classes understanding and take away from this module. Often, online classes follow a form of flipped classroom as we read the materials on our own and then discuss and/or complete assignments with others or with the guidance of our instructors. If we wanted to go further, we could have provided a discussion board, project, or activity to further explore this.
Below are possible activities you can do that follows the next few steps of a flipped classroom!

To further explore possible ways to increase engagment, discuss with your group members on strategies that you saw, experienced, witnessed, or heard about. Write this down on a piece of paper or white board for later use.

Based off your group discussion, research a educational technology (tools/apps/resources) that would aide in a strategy your group discussed. Analyze the tool and the strategy, the pros and cons, and provide an example of the use. You may present your findings by slides, video, podcast, websites etc.
When you are in your teaching your class next time, observe the difference in attitudes and engagement of students when you told an emotional story to teach a concept. Did students have an easier time remembering materials? Were they more engaged?
