Drama and puppetry are essential aspects of early childhood education since they encourage imagination, creativity, communication abilities and decision-making abilities (Isbell & Yoshizawa, 2016). According to Isbell & Yoshizawa (2016) this is also a wonderful way for young children to develop their creative thinking while expressing their ideas and experimenting and also children can solve problems through dramatisation through a variety of engaging options such as group drama, socio-dramatic play and puppetry. Children choose their own actions, dialogue, sound effects, and props in each of these dramatic arts areas (Isbell & Yoshizawa, 2016). These approaches are used by early childhood teachers to promote children's creativity and make learning engaging and interesting.
The use of drama and puppetry in early childhood education to promote creativity is supported by a variety of theories. Vygotsky's theory highlights the value and the use of puppets in education (Rade, 2021). According to the Rade (2021) this theory and the idea can also be helpful for teaching children social skills through puppets. According to Bandura theory, storytelling and narrative are very useful teaching tools as it shapes individual interests and behaviours both individually and collectively (Rade, 2021). According to Piaget's theory it states that it supports the use of puppets involving young children's animism (Rade, 2021). In combination, these theories show how puppetry and drama promote creativity in early childhood education.

In the future as an early childhood teacher my ability for promoting creativity in early childhood education will be strengthened by my own creative characteristics, including the flexibility in role-playing and expressive variation in voice. I will create interactive and interesting learning experiences that encourage children's creativity by using puppetry and acting. My goal is to promote children's imagination and creative thinking by integrating drama and puppetry into the curriculum while providing them with the resources they need to learn. Also my learning environment is to encourage children to express their ideas, emotions, and opinions in a safe and engaging way.
