In early childhood education, art is essential for encouraging imagination, creativity and self-expression. Early introduction to the creative arts may enhance children's life experiences, give them new chances, and develop existing interests (Isbell & Yoshizawa, 2016). As mentioned by the Isbell & Yoshizawa (2016) children with different skills and interests can succeed through open-ended experiences that integrate the arts into the curriculum. Posner and Patoine (2009) as cited in Isbell & Yoshizawa (2016) suggest that the arts encourage brain development and strengthen cognition. Also, artistic experiences develop fine motor skills and help children to express their emotions and thoughts through different and unique ways.
Gardner's (2011) research has explained the idea that children "know the world" through various combinations of multiple intelligences (Isbell & Yoshizawa, 2016). Children with skills in musical, bodily-kinesthetic, spatial, interpersonal, and intrapersonal intelligences are especially supported by the arts (Isbell & Yoshizawa, 2016). Piaget's constructivist approach supports hands-on art experiences by promoting the concept that children learn best when actively interacting with objects (“Constructivism in Visual Arts Classes,” 2020).

Books, Magazines, Posters and Artworks
Can teach children about different creators, cultures and styles through these resources.
Additionally, this also encourages them to make their own artwork which develops creativity.
(Rare Gallery, n.d.)
Paper, paint, clay, recycled items, paper scraps.
Providing these can encourage children to draw, paint as well as to make collages (Isbell & Yoshizawa, 2016).
These help children to explore different techniques and support sensory experiences.
(Lazazzera, 2024)
Computers, printers, mobile phones
These can be used to create digital collage and photographs.
These allow children to experiment new things and learn how to use digital tools.

Exploring materials - Provide infants open ended materials that offer rich exploration for children’s senses such as sand, rocks, twigs, colours and clays. Through this exploring activity they start to experiment new things (Isbell & Yoshizawa, 2016).
(Kantam, 2023)
2 - 3 years
Clay modelling - Provide toddlers clay and let them make anything they want by using it. This activity promotes creativity as well as open ended play while exploring and experimenting (Isbell & Yoshizawa, 2016).

Innovative idea - Let children identify a simple problem and invent some solution to address it. This activity promotes creative thinking which is essential for cognitive development (Howard & Mayesky, 2022).

Fingerprint Flowers
This activity promotes sensory exploration and develops fine motor skills.

Painting by using cotton bud
This allows toddlers to explore and experiment new things and also this activity develops fine motor skills.

Collage of nature
This encourages creativity using natural items and promotes environmental awareness.
Curiosity, flexibility, and excitement are some of my own creative characteristics that significantly improve my early childhood art education teaching. By encouraging open-ended artistic experiences, I inspire children to experiment with different materials and openly express their ideas. My ability to be creative in my teaching style enables me to consider the various ways that each child interacts with art. Through interactive activities such as fingerprint flowers by using paint, collage of nature I foster critical thinking and self - expression. However patience and flexibility are essential in promoting creativity as young children require time and freedom to experiment. My main objective by promoting creative mindset is to inspire children to think innovatively and experiment new things through practical approach.
