Dear Parents and Students,

Online classes will be conducted via ZOOM video conferencing software. It is a free software for students. We have the premium licence and therefore can be used with large groups of students over number of hours without any restrictions.

Please note that online classes are NOT a perfect alternative to the face-to-face classes. Our preferred mode of teaching is face-to-face. Therefore, we resort to the online mode of teaching and learning, only when face-to-face classes are not possible due to government restrictions on private gatherings.

In order to participate the ZOOM classes you should satisfy the following hardware and software requirements.

1. Desktop, Laptop or a Tab with the ZOOM software installed.

2. Create free a ZOOM account under the student's name. ZOOM can be used over any Web browser as well, but installing it may be more convenient.

3. Good Internet Connectivity (NBN or Broadband Wireless/Cable)

4. Good quality Webcam externally connected to the computer or inbuilt.

5. Working Speaker and a Microphone externally connected to the computer or inbuilt.

Students should participate the online ZOOM classes according to the following guidelines.

1. Webcam should be ON throughout the learning session.

2. Full face+head of the student should be visible to the teacher (host) all the time (when listening and writing as well).

3. Microphone can be kept turned OFF during the lessons, but should be be turned ON upon request by the teacher to answer questions and to conduct a discussion as required.

4. Quiet place in the house (study room or a suitable living area) without any distractions should be used for online lessons.

5. Students should NEVER use their mobile phones for chatting, messaging, internet browsing or video watching during the online lessons. Mobile phones should be kept away from the study area in silent mode or completely turned off.

6. Students should always pay total attention to online class activities and should NOT open other screens on the computer which can be a distraction to learning.

7. Students should be properly dressed and mannered as if it is like a normal face-to-face class (don't come in your pyjamas :-))

8. Students are allowed to have a quick drink, snake or a toilet break as required, but these should be minimally interrupting the online class activities.
