Biography:
Chandra Athaudage received B.Sc. degree in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering with first class honours from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in 1991, and M.Sc. degree in Information Science from Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), in 1997. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University), Australia, in 2001.
Dr. Athaudage received a Japanese Government Fellowship during his graduate studies, and an Academic Excellence Award from JAIST in 1997. During 1993-94 he was an Assistant Lecturer at University of Moratuwa, and during 1999-2000 a Lecturer at RMIT, where he taught undergraduate and graduate courses in digital signal processing and communication theory and systems. During 2001-2007, he has been a Research Fellow at the ARC Special Research Centre for Ultra-Broadband Information Networks (CUBIN), University of Melbourne, Australia. Since March 2007 he has been an Honorary Fellow of Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Melbourne. He has been a member of Institite of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Inc (IEEE) since 1995 and a member of the Mathematical Association of Victoria (MAV) since 2014.
Dr. Athaudage had visiting research appointments with wireless signal processing (WSP) program, NICTA Australia, Canberra, in 2004, 2005, and 2006. In February 2006 he was a visiting researcher at the communication laboratory, Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), Nara, Japan. He has served as a session chairman and a technical program committee (TPC) member in a number of international conferences on communication engineering and information science.
In 2008, I started my won tutoring centre (ESRS Education). Our tutoring programs mainly focusing on Mathematics and Science education for VCE Students and Secondary students. During the past 15+ years, we have produced a large number of VCE high achievers, and have received exceptional appreciation and feedback from parents and students.
