Columbia River Eri's Adventure 2. Hello I am leaving on a solo adventure down the Columbia River starting Saturday Aug 28th. This is similar to my 2018 Columbia Source to sea paddle. I will be starting at the Canada-Washington state border at Black Sand Beach near the town of NorthPort.

Due to COVID it is not possible to paddle my original route down the Kootenay and Columbia rivers and I have had to change plans at the last minute.

I will be providing daily updates with photos and videos on location, camping, things to do and see. If your interested in paddling the Columbia this will help in your planning and preparations. This paddle is part of Eri's Adventures, a program I created to teach youth the Art of Adventure in 2018. Our team of educators is there to help those that want to use the trip in their classrooms. This includes participation in the adventure through real time video conferencing with John on the trip as well as classroom materials and more.

Starting in Sept 2021 you can find John at anytime through his GPS tracking unit. John's location will be updated every 10 minutes on a website while underway. Click the map to find out where John is now and use this information to update your map as you follow along. Starts August 28th 2021.
