Innovation Award for Jerome Chappellaz

During the Goldschmidt 2013 conference, Jerome Chappellaz received the European Association of Geochemistry Science Innovation Award medal. He received the award for his previous ground-breaking work on methane, but also for more recent application of "new analytical devices [read: laser-based isotope and trace gas analyzers] to measure the geochemical composition of ancient ice, either in the laboratory or in situ."
