Language and culture

Our language and culture influence the way we see our gender roles and gender roles affect our culture. This process starts when we are very young, read our first books and listen to our first songs. It is very important to be aware of this process. The students work in mixed groups (German and Finish) to look at the different aspects of language and culture and compare how different countries treat them.

The topics were gender stereotypes and how to avoid them in music, social media, clothing, advertisements and children´s books.
