- Most of the teachers in Italy are women and female students are treated in the same way as boys. Female teachers are not usually considered differently from male colleagues.
- Most of the parents interviewed know the meaning of the word “gender”. They say their children´s teachers are usually women and 60% of them state people assume things about you depending on your gender (ex women usually have fewer job opportunities than men). Pressure about appearance is felt by a large number of women, not often by men.
- As for students, a quarter of them think people assume things based on your gender (ex when doing PE). When choosing hobbies, your gender plays a role for three quarters of them. Household choirs are equally divided in just half of their families.
