Agrupamento de Escolas de Perafita

Our school is a Lower Secondary school and it is located in Perafita, near Oporto. The school has 530 students and 70 teachers. It has a special status in the Portuguese Educational System called TEIP - Priority Intervention School Territory, which means that the students families come from social disadvantaged neighbourhoods, especially because Portugal is still going through a deep and serious economic crisis. Most of the families have a low monthly income, and for that reason, our students can’t go or do some activities on their own as prices are too high for them. The students have a good usage of digital equipment and they are successful in ICT learning. Our school is attended by some gypsy students and students from families from our former colonies - Angola and Mozambique.
