Forest pedagogy
In Kindergarten Ledina, we follow the concept of forest pedagogy. We have work meetings for kindergarten teachers, where we exchange experiences and ideas, we have a forest cabinet where we can borrow didactic games, and we go to the forest with the children at least once a week in all weather conditions.
We presented the concept of forest pedagogy at the mobility in Slovenia, and teachers from the participating countries played a game with children in the forest.

Our game in the forest is called "King, king, what time is it at the palace?” The scope of the game is to develop good coordination, attentions skills and overall a good and relaxed feeling for the children. The objectives are to practice jumping with forward motion, to respect the rules of the game, to take as many steps as the king dictates. This is a game that is to be played outside and it needs at least 3 players, but the more, the better.
The game will begin and each player has to call out “King, what time is it at the palace?". The king will name the number of steps needed and the players must follow the directions:
2 ants steps: 2 steps with one foot in front of the other,
polenta: the kid has to jump and spin at the same time,
2 dwarf steps: 3 little steps,
the fish: a leap forward,
a gian step: a very big leap,
a lobster step: 4 steps backwards.
The player that manages to get to the king’s side following the rules, will win the game.

The game of 'Cat and mouse', a very fun pastime that can be played both outdoors and indoors. In addition, this type of game serves as an exercise in children's psychomotricity, which is why it is a very useful tool for teachers. How to play Cat and Mouse. Traditional game The game of 'Cat and mouse' is a children's pastime to play in a group. The rules consist of making a circle between all the participants holding hands. Two children will be chosen at random, although previously you can draw to see who the lucky ones are. One of these two children will play the role of cat and the other will play the role of mouse. Once chosen, the children who form the circle will have to sing the following song: 'Mouse that the cat catches you, mouse that is going to catch you, if it doesn't catch you tonight, tomorrow it will catch you'. While the song plays, the mouse will run zig-zag through the gaps between the participants' arms. Meanwhile, the cat will have to chase him, but the participants will lower their arms and will not let him pass, although he can sneak between the holes, as long as he does not break them when passing. When the cat touches the mouse, the game will end and then the mouse will become the cat and choose a person to be the mouse.
