Kick-Off Respecting for Nature
19 Pupils and 8 staff from guest schools;25 pupils and 10 staff from hosting school will join the activities.The main objective of this LTTA is to raise awareness of pupils on environmental issues and to make them respect the nature.They will react man-made destruction to environment and take responsibility to ensure itssustainability.They will learn the compost technique for good agricultural practices and plant trees. Arriving of groups;welcome and integration
Day1:Learning Turkish education system;a presentation about this LTT event by hosting school; general presentation of each school on their environmental issues and acts of their country with photos, pictures and videos;voting for the project poster and logo among the winners of each partner and banding the project song together(composed two verses by each partner)
Day2:A trip to the recycling and decontamination facilities of municipality and energy efficiency facility.Herbarium trip to see the endemic plant species in thearea(helpful for the map of endemic plant species of Europe);learning plant pressing technique there
Day3:Morning; Activism march for climate. Pupils will walk on the neighboring streets to arise environmental awareness of the inhabitants, with slogans, project song and placards Afternoon; A presentation-discussion and interview with a representative having a “Green Job” from the scientific community, local government or a company, which will help us prepare a ‘Green jobs Dictionary’ in all partner languages as well as in English as the final product of the project
Day4:Trekking, picnic and orienteering activity in Ahlatlıbel,observing the local fauna and flora
Day5:Afforestation activity, building a memorial forest in Ankara with the project name; Teaching composting technique to the students;a trip to a ‘Residual forest’ area in Bala Conclusion;Final Evaluation;Certificates;Departures
Expected results:
Learning acts of different countries on project subject
Determining the project poster and logo,having the project song
Getting to know the facilities of host country on environmental issues
Learning the endemic plant species,plant pressing,compost techniques.
Raising awareness of community, disseminating
Getting to know green jobs
Growing respect for nature; having fun in it, making use of it but not destroying it
Seeing the consequences of human destruction

Methodology:hands on learning,observing,interviewing, environmental learning, discussion,learning by living
Hosting school will follow regular school schedule.While recycling,energy efficiency and saving are associated with Science lessons,endemic species,composting
can be integrated into Biology.‘Residual forest’ is related to Geography and 'Green Jobs' will help pupils learn professions about environment.Poster, logo designs
and composing of the project song can be integrated with visual arts and music
