Becky was a full-time primary school teacher, and after having published three books based around food, she was looking for the next adventure. In her twenties she was a member and also President of Cheam Rotaract.
Suddenly short-form writing took off and she managed to get 120,000 followers on Facebook. One day an opportunity arose to extend her comfort zone, and she was offered the chance to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe. This is something she had never done before (apart from our 2015 Conference) and it was an offer that was too good to pass up.
Learning very quickly how to develop a show, she went on to have a sellout on her hands. Now she delivers group therapy for teachers.
Becky will talk about having a dream and turning it into reality, through the use of Social Media. Something often thought to be just for the young, she will explain how easy it is (with hard work) to develop a following and make social media work for you. She must have a sense of humour being twice a District Governor’s partner, which stands her in good stead as an influencer!
