AFTER DINNER SPEAKER:

Simon Dow is a first-generation racehorse trainer, based on the Epsom Downs. He has been training racehorses there for over 40 years and has achieved over 750 winners in this time over jumps and on the flat.

Several of his horses in the past have enjoyed fan club status, including Dark Honey, Confronter, Young Ern, and Chief's Song. One of his best flat winners of recent years has been Mr Scaramanga who won a Group 2 in Doha in 2017.

Simon is involved with various committees in preserving the use of Epsom Downs and safeguarding Epsom as a Racehorse Training Centre.
