When you memorize scripture try to understand its importance to you so that you can explain its importance to someone else.
Turn it into a prayer.
Meditate on how many ways the scripture verse can apply to your daily life.
When troubles or trials come the scripture leaps into action to fill you with a confidence you may have been lacking.
In time of great joy the scripture acts as a reminder of the fulfilment of God's many promises.
