8 Steps To Commitment To Christ

I like the 8 Steps to Commitment to Christ that I will share with you now.

Step 1. The Fact of Sin. Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. Romans 3:23

Step 2. The Condition of the Sinner. Acts 26:18 “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of Sin, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.” Acts 26:18

Step 3. The Penalty of Sin. Romans 5:12 “Wherefore as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so, death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” Rom 5:12

Step 4. The Penalty Must Be Paid. Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement.” Hebrews 9:27

Step 5. The Penalty Is Paid By Christ. Romans 5:8 “But God commends his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

Step 6. Salvation Is A Free Gift. Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are you saved by faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. Eph. 2:8-9

Step 7. We Must Receive Christ John 1:12 “But as many as receive him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” John 1:12

Step 8. Assurance of Salvation 1John 5:12-13 “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of Gog; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” 1John 5:12-13
