2022 present day photo to send to a friend I had not seen in a long time
Hi, my name is Franklin G Holland this website is my way of being more involved in the work of the ministry.
I heard someone ask the question "do we have a next generation plan?" I am not certain now what the circumstances were, but it caused me to seriously consider what I am doing to help the next generation have a better understanding of the Great God that we worship.
I do not have all of the answers, in fact, I have more questions than answers. However, what I have, in the Name of the Lord Jesus, I want to share.
January of 2022, I began to consider my life in the light of what I have accomplished. But more importantly I had to recognize what I had not accomplished. In the fifty years of walking with the Lord I was reminded of the words of the song written by Andre Crouch. "I've had many tears and sorrows. I've had questions for tomorrow. There have been times when I didn't know right from wrong. But in every situation, God gave blessed consolation that my trials come to only make me strong."
Through it all, through all of the ups and downs, through the heartaches and sorrows, God has been the one constant that has seen me through it all.
But I also have come to realize that when I die and enter into God's presence there are very few things that I have done for Christ that will speak for me before the great judgment seat.
What I have done for myself and my family is quite evident. But what have I done for Christ? What principles have I passed on to my sons? If you ask them they will credit me with a lot of things regarding respect, honesty, good work ethic, and the like-but I want more for them and others within my sphere of influence.
Thus the internet and this website: I am not an expert. I am one man. But one man can reach a lot of people for Christ. One man can be used by God to deliver a multitude from bondage. One man can be used by God to feed the known world. One man can be used to introduce the world to the one true God. The bible is filled with stories and accounts of faithful men and women who have been used in extraordinary ways. My prayer is that something I might share may have a lasting impact for Christ in the life of others.
I had put off writing for quite a long time due to 3 words: Who Am I?
It was not until this year that I realized that it does not matter who I am. The message of what Christ has done for me is what matters.
Who am I? I am just a nobody trying to tell anybody about the one who Loves Everybody.
If you are wondering: These were the ordinary men whom God used to do those extraordinary things: Moses, Joseph, and Abraham
Navigating the site: The three most active pages are the Daily Memory Verse, Words of Encouragement, and Article Topics and Titles. The Article Topics and Titles page is new this year. Here you will be able to see in one place the various topics and titles that have been done. Currently there are not enough videos to warrant a separate page. Therefore you will see on the Words of Encouragement page a few videos of speaking engagements.
What you can expect from this Website!
This website launched in August of 2022. I encourage you to follow the links to begin from the beginning.
The Archive Page contains links from 2022 and 2023.
The Article Topics and Titles page contains every message from the Words of Encouragement
If you find merit in the words shared in this website share the link with a friend or someone who may need encouragement or someone who needs to know the savior.
This has been an exciting beginning for me and I hope it will prove to be a blessing for you.

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. 1 Cor. 15:58 (ESV)
Recently I read a document that I had written in 2019. It is more explanation for the motivation to use this website to be more involved in serving God. I wrote this March of 2019.
'It is often of late that I feel that there has to be more that I should be doing to advance the work of the Lord. I often feel a sense of coming up short at the end of the day when I kneel down to pray. Often in my prayer time I am asking the Lord to show me what he wants of me.
How can I do the will of the Lord if I do not know it?
I understand the basics of the Christian walk: we walk by faith not by sight. We do good to our neighbor. We treat our fellow man as a potential brother or sister in the Lord. We let our light shine so that others around us can see the way to the Lord. While I do not proclaim perfection in doing these, I often feel that I have not done what the Lord would want me to do.
So, I have decided to give writing a shot again.
There is within me a war. I know that the lord has gifted me to write, but who am I to try to advise, counsel, or guide others when I have so many short comings of my own?
One part of me always looks back at the story of Balaam and his faithful donkey, and I think if God can use a donkey to impress upon his servant his will, then he can sure use me. I do hope this time the momentum is the right time and I will begin the remainder of my life writing and speaking for the Lord.
Today is Tuesday March 19, 2019 and I am going to take it one step at a time, one day at a time, one idea at a time, one correspondence at a time and see what the Lord will do with it.
How will I know if it is what the Lord wants of me? Right now, I do not have a clue. I am only certain that I owe Jesus so much for the changes that he has made in my life and I need to be doing what I can to demonstrate my gratitude for all that he has already done for me.'
As I copy this narrative to the website I realize that my attempt in 2019 did not last long. Therefore I request your prayers that the Lord will give me what is required to be steadfast.
If you find merit in this site please help spread the word. Share the link for the website with others.
Currently my plan is to update the site weekly. Come back from time to time to see what is new. New material may include interviews with fellow believers, Hymns of the church and their backstories, and an Events page. Some pages will be cycled monthly. Eventually there will be an archive page for the previous month's pages. If you like you can leave a quick message of what you would like to see on the site. Leave your comments or reviews via the review page. God Bless you as you grow in your relationship with him. Love and prayers Franklin G.
