PICU JR (PGY2)

The following EPAs  should be focused on during this rotation:

• FOD1:  Recognizing deteriorating and/or critically ill patients and initiating stabilization and management (link to form)

• COD2: Resuscitating and stabilizing critically ill patients (link to form)

• COD3: Assessing patients with medical and/or psychosocial complexity (link to form)

• COD9: Performing core pediatric procedures (nasopharyngeal swab, UAL, UVL) (link to form: COD9)

• COD11: Coordinating transitions of care for patients with medical or psychosocial complexity (link to form)

You can also start to work on the following EPAs during this rotation:

• FOD7:  Performing basic pediatric procedures (procedures available for this rotation include: bag valve mask, lumbar puncture in neonates and infants; changing tracheostomy; high chance to do IV insertion) (link to form)
