Go to Box Office. There should be signage denoting which lane is for Work Exchange. Fortunately, your mandatory arrival day is prior to the public opening, so it shouldn't be too crowded.
Have your ID ready. We will check you in, give you wristband and remind you about orientation times and your shift schedule.
From there, you will be shown where Work Exchange Camp is so you can set up your tent.
Non-Work Exchange cannot arrive before their arrival day, and before General Admission entry. They will be turned away at the gate, which could be really bad for them and be a bad start to your work exchange experience.
If that doesn’t work for you, there are buses leaving from downtown San Jose regularly that will bring you very close to the site. The service is called Colectivo, and it departs from the TRACOPA bus station. These buses leave from TRACOPA bus terminal in downtown San Jose. Check the TRACOPA website for the most updated departure times. You must purchase a ticket at the station all the way to Uvita (but can get off anywhere.) The bus stops briefly at Orotina and Quepos before arriving at Uvita. After the bus stops briefly in Quepos, the ride to site is about an hour and a half. The bus will stop at the site if you ask to stop at Playa Hermosa Bus Stop/Envision Festival. However, don’t trust the driver to remember - be sure to ask! Keep your eyes out for signage on the right-hand side, it will be ½ kilometer from the Playa Hermosa Beach. If you end up at the TRACOPA bus station in Uvita, taxis are easily available and accessible at the BM (grocery store) across the street from the bus station. A taxi ride to site will cost you approx $2 USD (C1200).
Taxis to/from the Envision festival site to Uvita should cost you 3000 colones ($5 USD). They will cost more if you are going further or up into the mountains to vacation rentals. Always agree on the price with a taxi before embarking.

Parking is not included with your participation in the work exchange program.
We are granting confirmed members of the program access to the staff shuttles from SJO to site. Once you confirm your deposit, you will receive a link to book the shuttle. Shuttles are provided at cost. If you plan on taking shuttles to site, you must book your shuttle to arrive on your mandatory arrival day.
If you book a shuttle that arrives any other day, we will cancel your reservation and you may be subject to disciplinary action. Staff shuttles are for WEX and staff ONLY. DO NOT SHARE THIS LINK WITH NON-WORK EXCHANGE MEMBERS! We will cross-reference the passenger manifest with the work exchange roster and flag anyone who is not staff or work exchange, and cancel their reservation with no refund.
What do I do if my flight is delayed/canceled and I need to change shuttles?
Email Transportation@envisionfestival.com to ask if you can be switched to a later shuttle. Shuttles tend to fill up fast, so last-minute requests may not receive a response.
