Clean water is available on site! We provide free filtered drinking water for all. Please help us END SINGLE USE by bringing only large refillable containers for your campsite and a metal container for yourself. We will have some Envision water bottles for sale at our general store. If you bring any plastic water bottles, bring them out with you. Pack it in, pack it out!
PLEASE DO NOT COME TO SITE IF YOU ARE SICK. Illness breeds in the jungle and it spreads quickly. Take medicine, rest, and delay your arrival if you have to. Notify the Work Exchange Coordinators if you are not able to make it in time for any shifts.
Washing your dish before and after you eat & washing your hands with soap and water before and after you eat are CRUCIAL components to warding off sickness, parasites, and germ sharing.
Everything flourishes in the jungle, especially bacteria and microorganisms your body is probably not used to. It is to the benefit of the community that you practice diligence and discipline with cleanliness when eating and after you use the restroom.
Please don't be a stinky hippie and refuse to shower. If not for you, then for the Work Exchange Coordinators!
Pre & Post Event:
There are showers in the staff housing area of the festival grounds. Please be mindful of water use, as bathing water routinely runs out. Rinse, turn off the water, lather and rinse off.
Mid-Event:
You will receive a shower voucher at the end of your shift. The shower vouchers can be redeemed at the GA showers. We share the local municipality's local water supply, so putting a price on the resource helps us limit water use.
The jungle is home to all sorts of creatures. Be sure to close your tent when you aren’t in it, wear proper footwear (seriously, there are poisonous snakes), and don’t go wandering through the untamed jungle! Respect the land and its inhabitants that are hosting you, no matter how big or small
Not feeling well? Hoping to stave off sickness? Maybe just want a booster? Check out the Village Witches "Herbal Clinic"! There, you'll be asked a series of question by trained herbalists, diagnosed and given one of their wide arrays of natural medicines. A great alternative to prescription drugs!
