I moved up here from the Republic of Panama at the end of 1999 just prior to the Panama Canal being transitioned over from the US to Panama. My father is American and my mother is Panamanian. I have dual citizenship with the US and Panama. While I was born in the US, I grew up in the Panama Canal Zone. In Panama I worked as a public affairs journalist for the Tropic Times, a US military newspaper that covered local news and events for US Army Southern Command.
I have two associates degrees in English and History, a bachelors in English (Creative Writing), and my masters degree in Educational Psychology and Technology. I am a National Board Certified teacher. I have been teaching at Enloe since 2000. North Carolina is home to me now and Enloe High School is a big part of my life. I can't think of a better school to work at that promotes the study of language and culture.
Take a trip with my wife and me ... and discover Mi Panamá. I'll share some experiences with students about growing up in Panama as we learn to speak the language. Bring your rain gear cause you are going to get wet in the tropics!
