I'm excited about the year ahead! I hope you are too. CLICK HERE to review what is in store for us this coming school year.
How does this class compare to level 1? Each level gets increasingly more challenging. You are expected to recall and increase your vocabulary. Level 2 is still a STANDARD class, but it is preparing you for an HONORS class next year. We EXPECT you to SPEAK, READ, WRITE and LISTEN in Spanish more than you did in level 1. Students need to have demonstrated proficiency with the LEVEL 1 content prior to entering level 2.
NOTE: You did NOT have to get an "A" in level 1 to be in level 2. You DO have to have some knowledge of what was covered in level 1. We will even begin your level 2 journey with a general review of what you experienced in level1. Be ready to USE your level 1 Spanish!!!! Students who have a weak level 1 background NEED to consider that they might need to get a Spanish tutor to help them understand level 1 content while keeping up with the level 2 material.

Vamos a practicar
Vamos a practicar. (Study Spanish)
We will begin the year with a TEST of basic language constructs and vocabulary that were covered in your level 1 curriculum. We will use this to see what you remember. Following the test, we will go over the material covered to help you recall.
NOTE: THIS IS NOT A FORMAL TEACHING... This is strictly covered to help you recall what you should already know. If you have not covered this material, you need to consider taking level 1.
Following the test overview, you will retake a similar test to see how much you have improved. THE SECOND SCORE will be your grade.
