Pop-punk themes combine the rebellious spirit of punk with the vivid, youthful energy of pop culture. It focuses on edgy yet playful looks like graphic tees, plaid skirts, leather jackets, and statement accessories like studded belts and chokers. The style conveys both carefree enjoyment and emotional vulnerability, representing themes of teenage angst and independence. This theme frequently incorporates dramatic images, neon accents, and dynamic poses, giving a nostalgic yet current nod to artists such as Blink-182 and Paramore.
This shoot is heavily inspired by the song, APT. by singers Rose and Bruno Mars. The concept shows how the song APT brought back pop-punk music as well as fashion style throughout the music video, going back to the 2000s.
Punk is a style or movement distinguished by the use of aggressively unconventional and often odd or shocking clothing, haircuts, and cosmetics. According to Limely and Stylight, punk is a popular fashion trend in 2024. Through my investigation, I discovered that many various styles in 2024 are made by merging them with punk. The most popular is pop-punk. This look is largely influenced by Pop-Punk music and the consumerist principles of Corporate Alternative fashion. Punk is rebellious again, easily integrating with my theme. Especially with the studded accessories and messy makeup.
Going more deep into the rise of pop punk, the surged in search popularity is largely due to the influence of Gen Z icons like Olivia Rodrigo, Willow Smith, and Avril Lavigne, who blend music with this nostalgic style. Some key elements of pop-punk are, plaid, graphic t-shirts as well as accessories (chunky boots, fishnet tights, and statement jewelry).

The vivid pink trend, which gives clothing a lively and upbeat vibe, is the dominating fashion trend for 2024. Because they offer a striking contrast to subdued colors, fuchsia, magenta, and neon pink have become runway staples. These vivid colors have been welcomed by designers like Altuzarra and Prabal Gurung, who have used them in everything from cocktail dresses to tailored separates. Individuality is emphasized by the trend, and pink is striking whether worn in monochromatic outfits or with complementing colors.
This return, which embodies modernism and nostalgia, promotes individual expression while exuding self-assurance and youth.
Knee high boots are on trend, according to Vouge, Who What Wear, and Marie Claire. Boots are popular because they make the legs appear longer. According to Grand View Research, the global boot market was valued at USD 32.19 billion in 2022 and is predicted to rise at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.8% between 2023 and 2030. Boots were incorporated into my costumes because they are part of the punk culture. Originally worn by soldiers in combat, they were later adopted by punks as a sign of resistance and rebellion.
