The blog velo-trainer.fr is a blog dedicated to different cycling aspect from tech-news with the presentation of new products from RCA-Bike, but also proposing some articles regarding the optimization of cycling training through different aspects.

Software:

GoldenCheetah is an open-source cross platform software which allows to manage cycling data in order to train and have a rational approach to optimize the performances in cycling. A french article is making a description of this software [here].
