Pame:
Hi Melany! The kitchen is almost empty.
Melany
Oh no! What do we have?
Pame:
Do we have any pasta?
Melany:
Yes, we have some pasta.
Pame:
Great! Do we have tomatoes?
Melany:
No, we don’t have tomatoes.
Pame:
Okay. Do we have chicken?
Melany:
Yes, we have chicken.
Pame:
Perfect! Let’s make pasta with chicken.
Melany:
Good idea! We need to buy tomatoes.
In this activity, I learned how to use simple English to talk about food and make plans. I practiced asking questions like “Do we have…?” and answering with “Yes, we do” or “No, we don’t.”
This activity helped me improve my speaking and feel more confident. I can use this in real life when I need to plan something or talk about what I have at home.
Dear Boss,
I hope you are well. I usually attend the Monday meeting at 9:00 AM, but I now have a yoga class at that time. I always go to this class because it is part of my health routine. I often start my work early and I always check my emails before meetings.
Because of this schedule, I sometimes cannot join the meeting at 9:00 AM. I would like to suggest a different time. We can meet at 10:30 AM or another time that works for you.
I always want to stay updated and participate in our meetings. Please let me know if this new time works for you.
Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards,
Pamela
Hi Melany,
I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to let you know that I might have some trouble attending the meeting tomorrow. My son is sick, and my internet connection is unstable.
If my internet doesn’t improve, I might not be able to join the meeting on time. I will probably try to connect from my phone as a backup option.
As soon as my internet is stable, I will join the meeting or update you right away.
Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards,
Pamela
