Plans for today:
- Workshop day for genres (part of your participation grade for final)
Reminders:
- If you have caught up on work you didn't turn in when I graded your midterm (the work from first half of semester), email me today to check it over the weekend to improve your grade. After this weekend I won't have time since you'll be turning in your final portfolio soon, so this is your last chance!
- As next week is the last week of class, I would highly suggest not skipping so you do not miss out on the participation/peer-review portion of your grade. Of course, coming to class is your choice always, but this is my attempt to help you out.
- Make sure to do your course evaluations!
Group Up, Share, and Discuss:
- Which Naming What We Know Threshold Concepts or ACRL concepts do you see as most important to the drafting process of creating your genres? Why?
- How does what you have done so far with the genres project connect to the student learning outcomes?
Work on Genres!
Homework for next week (the last week of class!)
Read:
- Naming What We Know 5.4, “Reflection is Critical for Writers’ Development.”
Write:
- Continue working on your two genres.
- Have a draft of your Final Reflective Overview ready to peer-review for next week.
