What is Melon and why is it important?
Melon is one of the biggest streaming platforms in Korea , which is why high charting on this platform increases the chances of a music show win.
This platform is used by the GP a lot- a song charting high means that it is pretty popular! (Polaroid's love peak on Melon was #75). The higher a song rises initially, the likelier it is that casual listeners will tune in as well.
Melon is one of the Korean music platforms counted in the Digital criteria of music shows such as: Music Bank, MCountdown, Show Champion, Show!Music Core, and Inkigayo.
