Ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of Emperor Maldives liveaboards, delivering exceptional guest experiences through effective coordination, communication, and leadership with internal and external teams.
Daily Operations Management (40%)
Act as the primary contact for daily operational issues, addressing challenges and ensuring resolution.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of boat managers, captains, engineers, and dive guides.
Daily presence in the office with frequent visits to liveaboards during turnarounds.
Monthly travel to visit liveaboards in the south regions (January - April).
Scheduling and Resource Allocation (20%)
Manage the weekly dive guide schedule, including holiday planning.
Review and approve food, fuel, and maintenance orders.
Maintenance and Safety Oversight (20%)
Perform maintenance checks on liveaboards to ensure standards are met.
Monitor night watch procedures and ensure compliance.
Enforce health and safety protocols for staff and guests, ensuring adherence to maritime safety regulations.
Logistics and Dry Dock Coordination (10%)
Assist with planning and running dry docks.
Oversee supply chains for provisions and essential resources.
Crisis Management and Training (10%)
Lead emergency response efforts for operational disruptions or safety incidents.
Implement and oversee training programs for boat crews and operational staff.
Proactively addresses operational challenges with practical and effective solutions.
Possesses strong knowledge of maritime operations, safety regulations, maintenance procedures, and logistics coordination.
Manages multiple priorities effectively within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Works effectively with diverse teams, fostering cooperation, clear communication, and a positive team spirit.
Demonstrates proven ability to manage and motivate teams across various functions to achieve shared goals.
Plans schedules, manages resources, and coordinates logistics to ensure operational efficiency.
Maintains a focus on delivering exceptional guest satisfaction while achieving operational excellence.
Education: Qualifications in maritime, hospitality or operations management are beneficial.
Minimum 5+ years in operations management, preferably in the maritime, hospitality or diving industries is required with knowledge of maritime operations, safety regulations, maintenance procedures and logistics coordination is essential.
Budget management, crisis management, and staff training experience is a plus.
Must be an excellent communicator and have solid leadership and problem-solving skills and have experience managing remote or multicultural teams and implementing training programs.
