A leadership role at one of Indonesia's most iconic dive destinations. Real authority, a team to build, and an island most people only visit.
ABOUT US
Emperor Divers has been delivering exceptional dive experiences for over 30 years, across liveaboards, dive centres, and scuba courses in some of the world's best dive destinations — Egypt, the Maldives, Indonesia, and the Solomon Islands.
Our Nusa Lembongan operation sits at the heart of the Indonesian diving circuit: a small island off the southeast coast of Bali, known for its manta rays, rich reef systems, and one of the most celebrated dive sites in the region — the Nusa Penida channel.
THE LOCATION
Nusa Lembongan is small, quiet, and unhurried island off the southeast coast of Bali. Known for its crystal-clear waters, laid-back atmosphere, and vibrant marine life.
Days begin with sunrise over the water and end with quiet, stunning sunsets — an ideal setting for those who love nature, diving, and island living. With limited traffic, a close-knit community, and a fishing and seaweed-farming culture that keeps things grounded.
The island attracts divers from around the world, but it has never lost its local character. This is island life in the genuine sense and for the right person, it is an exceptional place to live and work.
THE ROLE
The Dive Centre Manager is accountable for the full operation — safety, team, guest experience, and commercial performance. You report to the GM for Indonesia and the Maldives, and manage a team of Guides, Instructors and Boat Crew directly from day one.
This is primarily a management and leadership role. Your qualifications and experience gives you the technical grounding to understand and oversee everything the team does — but most days you will be running the operation: leading your team, overseeing logistics, handling finances, and resolving whatever needs resolving. Approximately 60% of the role is dive operations and team leadership; 40% is administration, finance, and stakeholder management.
You will be expected to maintain Emperor's professional standards and may be called upon to support the team in the water when operationally appropriate, but regular diving is not this role's primary output.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Dive Operations
Boat scheduling, compressor and equipment management, maintenance, and guest programming, adhering to Emperor's SOPs, PADI 5-Star standards and local laws.
Guest Experience
Maintain high service standards, resolve guest and operational issues promptly, and ensure every interaction reflects Emperor's reputation.
Team Leadership
Recruit, develop, and lead your team; set clear standards, run briefings and reviews, and build a motivated, respectful and accountable culture.
Safety & Compliance
On-site safety authority. Safety logs, emergency preparedness, equipment audits, and incident reporting. Ensures no safety-critical function operates without named accountability.
Finance & Administration
Budget management, petty cash, supplier payments, stock control, and financial reporting to Head Office.
Commercial & Partnerships
Build relationships with hotels, local operators, and tourism businesses. Support marketing and content initiatives with Head Office. Identify new revenue opportunities.

STRAIGHT TALK
This is not a handover into a fully staffed, fully functioning team. You are arriving during a period of change, with a structured handover available from the outgoing Supervisor, and a Senior Instructor vacancy to fill as an early priority. Once the handover period concludes, you manage the team directly. We are looking for someone who sees that as an opportunity to shape something, not a problem to inherit.
Submit your application via the Emperor Divers recruitment portal.
All applications must be submitted in English. Closing date: 10 July 2026.
